The Rising Amount of School Dropout Among Secondary School Students

According to data released by the Education Ministry of Malaysia, school dropout among secondary school students are rising year by year. This problem is becoming more and more serious as the number of the dropout students on 2008 has increased almost twice as the number on 2005.
The reason why secondary school students are dropping out of school and leave their study is because they are no longer interested in studying.They might have lost their interest in study because of various reason.For example, instead of study they are more interested in earning money by themselves in order to have latest and branded gadget and clothes.
Besides, most of these dropped out students have a poor family background. Their family might not be able to support their study.In the other hand, it is them who need to work in order to support the family. It becames their responsiblity to release the family financial burdens.
Apart from that, these students might have dropped out because they cannot cope with their studies. This problem might have happen because they think some subject is just too hard to master.Hence, instead of facing the failure in examination, they better just quit their study.
Lastly, the other reason might be becauseof the influencefrom peers.Being friends with people who have quit their study caused them to also quit from school.
As conclusion, we must overcome this problem for the sake of our coutry future because our country future lies on today's students.
